By accessing this website, we assume you accept our terms and conditions of trade.

Placing orders and payment

- Payment for goods and materials must be made in full when placing an order / making a purchase

- Installation rates and charges for additional work, if any, are due immediately on completion of work

- For larger jobs we may request that installation charges are paid weekly or in stages, proportionate to the amount of work, which has been carried out

- When making a purchase, the Customer accepts our Terms and Conditions of Trade

Delivery

- We offer Free Delivery for all Liverpool areas. All deliveries are kerbside only by the driver, who may require customers' assistance with larger / heavier items

- Any changes to the delivery slot must be requested by the Customer at least 48 hours prior to the arranged delivery date

- Failure to accept an arranged delivery will result in additional costs to the Customer to cover for any future attempts to deliver the goods

- Upon delivery, goods should be examined by the Customer or their representative to ensure they are the correct ones as ordered and in satisfactory condition

- Once put into use, goods become subject to manufacturer’s warranty and relevant guidelines for maintenance / use / treatment

Returns, refunds and replacements

- Most goods can be returned to PG Carpets Liverpool within 14 (fourteen) days of purchase for a full refund of their value. This excludes bespoke goods and only applies to goods in ‘as new’ condition in their original packaging with no signs of use or damage

- Bespoke goods such as carpets, which are specifically ordered for and cut to Customers’ sizes are non-refundable if they are under 4 linear metres in length. In any other case such goods are subject to a re-stocking fee of 25 (twenty-five) per cent of their invoiced value

- Return delivery costs for goods without fault must be covered exclusively by the Customer

- If goods appear defective or not as ordered, the Customer must contact PG Carpets Liverpool within 7 (seven) working days to arrange a replacement without any further charges applicable. After this period goods are considered in line with Customers’ order

- Refunds and replacements are issued strictly after goods are returned, examined and deemed eligible for any such requests. We reserve the right to decline refund or replacement requests if goods are found to be in an inadequate condition and not in line with our refund policy

Installation

- All areas due installation must be CLEAN and CLEAR of debris, old fixings as well as furniture and old floor coverings unless otherwise arranged with PG Carpets Liverpool

- It is Customer's responsibility to ensure that the sub-floor is up to standard and that any repairs and alterations, if required, are to be carried out prior to the date of installation unless otherwise arranged with PG Carpets Liverpool.

- Relevant charges will apply for any un-arranged additional work and in some cases the floor layer may refuse / be unable to carry out the job altogether.

- No responsibility can be taken for damage to under-floor services and wires, which are not clearly marked and safely secured, improperly positioned or lay loose around the edges or across the floor

- No responsibility can be taken for damage to walls, floors, interior features, floor coverings or furniture and household appliances themselves if these need to be handled in any way

- Guarantee to the performance of all products applies only when installed correctly by qualified floor layers. Overall appearance will greatly depend on the condition and preparation of the subfloor, over which products are laid

- All quotes are free with no obligation to either the Customer or PG Carpets Liverpool. We reserve the right to adjust, revise or fully withdraw our quotes at any time after the date of issue

Maintenance and Wear

- Floor coverings will perform differently in accordance with their wear grade as well as contributing factors such as volume of traffic, condition of subfloor, humidity level etc. Serviceable life can be greatly extended with regular maintenance, in obligation with manufacturer’s guidelines for use and treatment

- In time shading and slight change in appearance can occur to some degree, particularly in cut pile carpets as pile tends to compress, especially under furniture or in areas of heavy traffic.

- Exposure to direct sunlight over a long period of time can also cause slight variations in colour, mainly with dyed wool carpets

- Pressure marks / bumps may sometimes appear through handling or storage, however these are mostly temporary and disappear shortly after products are put to use

- Performance of sheet vinyl flooring can only be guaranteed when thoroughly adhered to the subfloor

- Characteristics of wear and tear in relation with the ageing and regular use of floor coverings are considered natural and are not in any way attributable to faulty manufacture or installation, therefore claims of such nature cannot be entertained neither by us nor by our suppliers

Free Quotes and Call-out Charges

- Our free quotes service is offered on ‘goodwill’ basis and it’s not obligatory for us to provide. Should an arranged slot is missed more than once or cancelled with less than 24 hours prior notice, subsequent visits will be subject to a relevant call-out charge to compensate for our time and effort. In some cases we may refuse to quote for our services altogether.
